Phnom Penh: On December 5th, 2024, AEON Specialized Bank (Cambodia) PLC, along with companies from the AEON Group, held a scholarship award ceremony at AEON Mall Sen Sok City to award AEON 1% CLUB Foundation Scholarship to 23 students from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and the National University of Management (NUM), including 10 new students giving speech about “My Dream”.

In addition, this is the first time in Cambodia that AEON 1% Club organized a Japanese Speech Contest for students studying Japanese at the Royal University of Phnom Penh and Royal University of Law and Economics. Five talented contestants were chosen through a video screening process. Each of them was given three minutes to deliver the speech in Japanese on the topic “What We Can Do to Protect the Earth”. The winners who received 1st and 2nd place in this Japanese speech contest will be joining the final speech contest in Japan with the winners from other ASEAN countries and will also have a chance to experience Japanese culture and history.
